INTERNATIONAL EVENTS

For two days in September 2024, the partner organisations and youth participants met in Copenhagen to discuss challenges in the fight for a green transition, participation and engagement methods, and how the nonformal folk high school method can be used when engaging youth and other actors. In order to gain further insights and knowledge, Nyt Europa facilitated a conference on the just transition. Politicians, industry representatives (Danish Agriculture and Food Council), civil society (European Environmental Bureau, Oxfam Ibis and Greenpeace) and activists (The Collective Against Environmental Racism and The Green Youth Movement Denmark) debated the aforementioned and how we can ensure that the social aspect of the green transition is kept. This 2-day meeting in Copenhagen served as a kickstart for the youth participants to take an active role in planning events in their respective countries in which they could take their newly-gained knowledge and pass it on to others. ​
